University Region & Campus Ministry - Who are we?
The University Region of the Orlando Church of Christ is a fellowship composed of campus students, young professionals, and families who are devoted to the Scriptures, prayer, and relationships with each other (Acts 2:42).
At IGKNIGHT (our campus ministry which has students at the University of Central Florida and Valencia College), we are a non-denominational Christian group that focuses on being disciples of Jesus. Our main goal is to help as many in our community as we can to have an amazing personal relationship with God that helps them grow closer to Him and to each other.
We focus on building family in our small groups and having discipleship partners to meet the spiritual needs of everyone. We have a lot of fun together with our activities ranging from scavenger hunts to singing and prayer devotionals to family dinners to game nights. As Jesus calls us to love each other the way He has loved us (John 13:34), we strive to have everyone feel like a part of the family when they come to visit.
Our vision for the region is very similar to what Paul talked about in 1 Corinthians 12:21, to build a family where everyone is indispensable to God and to the church. As of the present, we have about 40 active members who love sharing their lives with each other, being radical about loving Jesus, and sharing it with as many people as we can. Aspiring to be a church that imitates the Scriptures, we are a very diverse group, comprised of many races, nationalities, and backgrounds.
We have a great time when we meet all together, but we also get to know everyone on a more personal level. We make it our goal to help anyone in their relationship with God with personal Bible studies and smaller Bible discussion groups on campus as well as in some of our homes.
